Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ScoutAway (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

The Service

ScoutAway helps you plan trips: it organizes your bookings, builds itineraries, and generates AI-assisted suggestions. Features that connect to Google (Gmail, Calendar) are optional and require your explicit consent.

Your account & responsibilities

• You must use a valid Google account and are responsible for activity under it.
• Use the Service lawfully; don't misuse it, attempt to breach security, or infringe others' rights.
• You're responsible for the content you add and for anyone you invite to collaborate on a trip.

AI-generated content — verify before you rely on it

Itineraries, recommendations, prices, flight options, opening hours, visa notes, and other AI-generated content are suggestions and may be inaccurate or out of date. They are not professional travel, legal, or financial advice. Always confirm bookings, prices, travel documents, visa and entry requirements, and schedules directly with the airline, hotel, provider, or relevant authority before relying on them. You are solely responsible for your travel decisions.

Third-party services

The Service integrates third parties (Google, Anthropic, Supabase, and others described in our Privacy Policy). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we're not responsible for third-party content or availability.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScoutAway will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, data, or travel costs, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or to protect the Service.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
